Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels work in a comparable way. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we may only place cookies that are not strictly necessary once you have given your consent.
Your choices
When you first visit this site you are asked to accept all cookies, reject all non essential cookies, or manage your preferences by category. Nothing optional is loaded before you choose. We record your choice and the date and time you made it, so that we can demonstrate consent.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary, always on
These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They include the cookie that remembers your consent choice, and the security token that protects our enquiry forms from misuse. They do not track you and they are not used for advertising.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| t8_consent | Stores your cookie preferences and the time you set them | 12 months |
| WordPress session and security tokens | Set only when you log in to the site as an administrator | Session, or up to 14 days |
Analytics, optional
These help us understand which pages are useful, how visitors find us, and where the site could be improved. They only run if you consent. If no analytics tool has been configured, no analytics cookie is set at all.
Marketing, optional
These are used to measure the performance of our advertising and to show relevant adverts elsewhere. They only run if you consent.
Fonts, maps and embedded content
Our fonts are stored on our own server, so no third party is contacted to display this site. Any map, video or other embedded content that would set third party cookies is only loaded after you have consented to the relevant category.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of this or other websites from working properly. Guidance for each major browser is available from its own help pages, and general advice is published by the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
