Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device they are on and however they browse. This statement explains what we have done and how to tell us if something is not working for you.

How accessible this website is

This site has been built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, and to meet our duties under the Equality Act 2010. In practice that means:

• every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is always visible;
• text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background;
• a skip to content link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader user reaches;
• form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in words rather than colour alone;
• images carry alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers;
• headings are used in a logical order so the page can be navigated by structure;
• the layout reflows down to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling;
• animation and movement are reduced automatically if your device is set to prefer reduced motion;
• the cookie banner is keyboard operable, moves focus to itself when it opens, and is not a keyboard trap.

Where we publish a document or an image supplied by a third party, we may not always be able to guarantee it meets the same standard. If you come across something you cannot access, tell us and we will provide the information in another format.
